  1. Years and years ago a very similar salad was offered on the menu at The Venture Inn in Philadelphia which was a great late-night stop in after a night of clubbing. I don't know what was in the vinaigrette but they used candied pecans. This mix of flavor with the gorgonzola is amazing (and healthy).

  2. I love this salad, but the dressing with the puréed pears is a definite upgrade. I will try it with the pomegranate, but must confess I’ll probably stick to dried cranberries from the pantry most of the time.
