Pear in a salad? It's gonna be a good salad.
Years and years ago a very similar salad was offered on the menu at The Venture Inn in Philadelphia which was a great late-night stop in after a night of clubbing. I don't know what was in the vinaigrette but they used candied pecans. This mix of flavor with the gorgonzola is amazing (and healthy).
That salad sounds good. The dressing alone is good one.
Making this tonight!
I love this salad, but the dressing with the puréed pears is a definite upgrade. I will try it with the pomegranate, but must confess I’ll probably stick to dried cranberries from the pantry most of the time.
Yummmmm!!!
Quite nice.
Hi
Not diggin' on the red vinegar here.
I wish they had served it to either Julia or Bridget so we can see how they react
Make a crumbled nut mix – toast them as walnuts, pecans, chestnut/chinquipin, hickory/butternut/heartnut and pine nuts.
Make a cheese crumbles mix of gorgonzola (salty blue), feta (salty sheep), and a sweeter havarti/gouda (sweet cow).
Yum
I will definitely make this BUT I'd use king comise pears and havarti cheese. Delicious! 😋
Uh… i dont eat spinach!. I use arugula. Also those pomegranate seeds are useless. Blue cheese and a ripe Bartlett works better. A pppy seed dressing is better.
This does look amazing!!
Omgawd…yum.
Hello
Outstanding. I will never understand why parents boil the spinach until it’s crap then wonder why the kids won’t eat it. When I discovered these recipes I eat spinach all the time!
Looks so good. Can't wait to make it.
