Erin McMurrer shows Julia Collin Davison a recipe for stollen, a yeasted German Christmas bread that gets better with age. This holiday dessert bread is loaded with brandy-soaked fruit, toasted nuts, and a sweet center of marzipan. The best part? This stollen recipe makes two loaves, one to keep and one to gift!

I made STOLLEN once and it was absolutely 😋
این دستور پخت عالی هست من هم به همین روش درست میکنم
Im surprised by the lack of spices in this recipe I put cinnamon cardamom and mace in my stollen
This isn't like the authentic Christmas Stollen my German next door neighbor used to make and give to us every holiday season. She passed her recipe on to me. It used citron instead of the orange and lemon jellied peel. And it was rolled diagonally more like a giant croissant.
I'll have to try this version now and see how it compares.
Thanks for the video.
I really felt the pressure to make this bread through this video! It looks great! Hope to try it.
HELP! My cake was Stollen.
Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to make it! I bought that big giant cookbook of yours and I’m hoping the recipe is in there!
Isn't it supposed to be "holiday bread"?
as a German, I can live with the American adoptions, but please no nutmeg — thanks!
From the comments it seems you might need to revisit this video in the future.
stollen, panettone, light christmas cake, and christmas crack are my holiday faves and must-haves..
I even share them
Does anyone know why they are hiding the Kitchen Aid label on the stand mixer?
STOLLEN DOESN'T HAVE EGGS. has rum but also NOT brandy.
I do not understand why your recipes always use cup measurements for flour rather an weight. I have often heard the excuse that not everyone has a scale. This is nonsense, if you can afford the $400 KitchenAid mixer, you can afford a scale. There are a number of quality digital scales out there for under $20. Any serious baker owns and uses a scale
These targeted videos is getting out of hand, I search for stollen and a few days later Americano test kitchen makes a video based on my search history.
Fabulous TY
This looks so good, I think i can smell it! Lol.
Thank you Test Kitchen! Been watching you for years, especially on PBS. 😊
When they sprinkled the powdered sugar on top it reminded me of that first snow of the season. I bet it smelled and tasted so much better.
Check German pronunciation of Stollen for authenticity.
Looks great
Love stollen bread
