TAMALES DE RAJAS CON QUESO INGREDIENTS:
For the masa:
► 1 1/2 cups lard
► 2 tsp salt
► 5 tsp baking powder
► 6 cups masa (I’m using Maseca for Tamales)
► 4 cups chicken broth
► 2 cups of water (add more if needed)
For the tamales:
► Some corn husks
► Monterrey Jack cheese (or cheese of choice)
► Canned jalapeños
► Fresh jalapeños (optional)

The “rajas” use to be from grilled and steamed and peeled Anaheim Peppers, the flavor is outstanding, smokey, salty and sweet, my Grandma was a very experimented cooker from Sonora México, and she made the best tamales Iv’e ever tried, also the neighbors, friends and family were expecting the Christmas time to come to her house to taste her tamales, and she said that love was main ingredient 💞

Although I'm sure that in this case, these tamales taste good, (I love rajas tamales!)I have yet to see any cook anywhere sample what they've just made and tell us that it tastes like krap – It may be years from now when I'm laying on my death bed somewhere, when I finally see someone admit that what they just made actually sucks, lol!😁👍
