To me store bought egg nog is too thick. If you mix one part egg nog to one part skim milk it is much more palatable.
Thanks ladies this recipe is easy to follow, can't wait to try it.
This could easily be keto although there’s still carbs, you’d have to limit yourself
I blended the eggs and milk and did it sous vide at 62C for an hour, which was the temp I found somewhere else. I'd love an official sous vide version, seems like a great candidate as it starts similar to a custard. I'm putting it on the Christmas list early so the ATK elves have time to experiment for next year 🤞🤞
I am looking for an eggnog that’s lactose free.
Yummooo
Thanks again ladies xxx
The stuff from the carton is tasty. I don't know if it's good egg nog, but it's good for what it is.
I made a half batch and it was delicious–especially with the whipped cream
I like this recipe. All of the store bought eggnogs contain carrageenan which has been linked to intestinal inflammation and disease. Check your dairy labels!
I love eggnog soooo much. Never tried homemade eggnog before.
Hello
Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 Coquito
Went from custard to scrambled eggs in 90 seconds on low heat. Followed this exactly and it went completely sideways in a heartbeat. What a waste.
My one wish in life is to get to hang out with Bridget and Julia. They're absolutely fabulous and lovely.
We used this recipe and made your homemade eggnog this year after feeling the same way about eggnog Julia did. I am so glad we did. It’s so creamy and smooth. Thanks, Bridget!
Sorry, ladies, but if this were served to me, I'd quietly pour it down the drain.
I dont understand why grocery stores wont sell egg nog unless its during the holiday season.
They should sell egg nog year round!!
I’m going to try this 2morrow. My son purchased some kind of eggnog, it was terrible I wanted to cry. I struggled trying to swallow it. But I might just use it in my coffee 😂
But i have go out 2morrow for the heavy whipping cream, liquor
Christmas
Don’t like cooked eggnog. Been drinking and making my grandmothers recipe for 60 years. Not sick yet. It’s soooo much better than store bought. And NO booze!!
It's two days before Christmas and I went to four different markets. All were out of eggnog! I found this video and made some myself. I used 3 cups of milk and 1 cup of heavy cream, omitted the booze till later but otherwise followed this recipe. Perfectly delicious. My guests can add liquor to their taste.
You need something to take away the egginess that causes people to gag. Peel an orange or a lime and stir the peel in the mixture then remove it before refrigerating it.
I love egg nog!!! When I make it, it turns out really bad. Yes, I now buy it at my friendly neighborhood grocery store. I will now try this recipe and see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing this video.
I am EVER SO tempted to make this.
So much sexual tension and innuendos in this one👀
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!
