First, let me say – you really could just drop all your ingredients in your blender and hope for the best – that works too! Lol

However if you:

1. find yourself constantly having to stop and adjust your ingredients not blending well.

2. have a blender that’s not really powerful.

3. or simply want your smoothies to taste bomb & creamier 🤤

Follow this simple formula:

1. Liquids first – keeping the liquids on the bottom allows the blender to create a “vortex,” easily pulling down the greens, fruit, and whatever veggies that are layered above.

2. Powders and sweeteners – these will easily blend and dissolve into the liquid.

3. Greens – nobody wants to taste greens in their smoothies 🙃. Keeping the leafy veggies at the bottom of the pitcher is a smart way to make sure they get blended evenly.

4. Soft ingredients – from here on up add in your yogurt, tofu, nut butters etc.

5. Fruit – Drop in your fresh fruits. For an even smoother blend, cut them into chunks.

6. Add frozen ingredients last! – the weight of these “heavier” items will help push everything down towards the base. Also, by the time these frozen ingredients hit the blade, there’ll be enough liquid to help blend them smoothly.
