Twisted doughnuts are yeast donuts or sticks of pastry made from flour and deep-fried in oil. In China, they are known as mahua (麻花); in Korea, they are known as kkwabaegi (꽈배기);in the Philippines, they are known as shakoy and pilipit, in Japan, they are known as sakubei.

Ingredients
1. 250g (2 cups) flour
2. 1 tsp (4g) yeast
3. 30g sugar
4. 1 tsp nutmeg powder
5. 1 egg
6. 30g butter
7. 125ml (1/2 cup) milk
8. 1/4 tsp salt
