Do you own a gas BBQ but still want to smoke meat? Then this is the video for you!
I’ll show you how to smoke meat in a gas BBQ!
Now there’s heaps of different ways you can smoke meat in a gas BBQ, i’ll be showing you a method where you don’t need any additional accessories.
We’ll be reverse searing a steak in this video, we’ll be smoking it first at a low temperature, giving it a rest and then finishing it off with a sear!
Reverse searing is a great way to ensure an evenly cooked steak whilst getting a nice smoky flavour in there too!
Now if you wanted to smoke a brisket or do some pulled pork in a gas BBQ for example, you’ll just need to use more chips, pellets or whatever you have chosen to use so you get a longer smoke.
Once whatever you are smoking has had some time in the BBQ, taken on some smoke and you are ready to wrap, i’d recommend finishing it off in the oven so you don’t waste your gas bottle.
I’ll always recommend getting a proper smoker or Weber kettle as you’ll get much better results, however if you only have a gas BBQ, then following this video will get you good results!
