  1. This was the first thing I tried to make with an Instapot, following along with you. I think you needed to warn people that it takes the Instapot about 20 minutes to heat up on the sauté setting. At least mine did. I ended up brazing the meat in a fry pan because I got sick of waiting. Maybe I got a dud Instapot. It’s pressure cooking right now. Can’t wait to see if the stew really cooked.

  2. I’ve made this recipe over and over again! Just now barley commenting… but honestly to let you know this is the BEST beef stew you will have in your LIFE!!!!
I tend to like to add a good amount of veggies. Sometimes while trying to pressure cook it will show burn food continuously stopping the cooking process. Until you check the stew taking the lid off maybe scrap the bottom the browning from cooking the meat. Which is challenging with everything added in already.
Tonight after browning meat I scraped off all the bottom then added the celery and so on. The insta pot hasn’t gone off beeping showing burn food. It also came up to pressure fairly quickly. I would definitely recommend. It is definitely has hassle having to stop the cooking process not doing so

  3. Thanks, I switched the ingredients and cooking process around a little bit, but followed your basic structure, and just enjoyed a wonderful beef stew. My first meal made using my new instant pot. Love it. Thanks again for inspiring me.

  4. I am someone who just doesn't like for my food to be over-seasoned. I'm not sure if it's partially because I was raised by a single working mom who was AWESOME at SO many things like buying homes, vehicles, horses, horse trailers, land, sending me to private college prep schools, sending me down the road to junior (Little Britches), amateur, and ultimately pro-rodeos, etc… HOWEVER, she wasn't the best cook that ever was. Plus, idk if this had much to do with it either, but we are Native American (Jicarilla Apache and Navajo), and we are fairly easy to please in the cooking dept. Just cook the meat just as it is, and we're happy. MOST of my family are the same… not much cooking with seasonings, sautes, etc…
The only things I didn't use (mostly because I didn't have any) was the onion and… oh! the bay leaves. I only used a few garlic… thingies, and that was it.
WE LOVED THIS!!! We both only eat very small amounts throughout the day, and this was SO good, so now I'm stuffed. Almost miserably so. My poor Mom is too. But… WE LOVED IT!!!! Iheed'in (Thank you in my language)!!!

  5. I love your recipes. Your stew recipe saved my cookies. I forgot to start it a couple hours earlier. You made it look so easy. I tried it and it was that easy! Thank you so much. Please keep those recipes coming
