Instant Pot Smoky BBQ Pulled Pork – Dump and Go Instant Pot and Slow Cooker Recipe



I’m a HUGE fan of the dump and go Instant Pot recipes! The good part about this Smoky BBQ Pulled Pork is that you can also cook it in the slow cooker too!

Just remember when using the Instant Pot, it takes 10-20 minutes to pressurize!

This is the Instant Pot I have (yes it is the cheaper one and I love it!):

If you are cooking for 1-2 people I would suggest the 3 Quart. If you are cooking for more, I would suggest the 6 quart!

  1. Tried this tonight and found on a 3.5lb pork shoulder 1 hour definitely wasn’t long enough. I shredded the outside portion, after cutting off the fat….(tons of fat!) The inside however was completely pink! Had to cook it longer. Will have to tweak this a bit to make it work…any suggestions?

  2. I’m planning to make this for a party/gathering. How many pounds would you recommend that I get? (30-40 people but there will be other options for food as well so, not the only thing). And should I return the shredded meat back into the instant pot to stay warm? And not dry out?

  3. The meat in the video looks super hard and all the juice is floating around it instead of in the meat where it should be. These slow cooker copycats do not hold up well in the IP. It does have a slow cook function but I've never seen it used and I'm not going to ruin $57 worth of meat just to test it out.

Simple stupid little less on the intro very good but not bad whenever I look at a recipe on YouTube I look how long it is if it's 10 15 minutes 10 minutes 8 minutes it's too long I don't want your family history how many kids you have I want the recipe simple stupid also if you want a like wait till the end not the beginning thank you
