The flow control filter cap they make solves the issue of coffee immediately dripping through the filter without needing to risk an absolute mess if the plunger pops out during the flipping
Why not just use a French Press? I don’t get the gadget you have to buy filters for. 🤔

I love my aeropress and I use the Aeropress buddy app for recipes, it adds variety to my brews
I've used this press while deployed in combat zones, and it works beautifully!
The difference is minuscule at best.

Absolutely LOVE my Aeropress. I work at Starbucks, so I’m around coffee all day. This is hands down the best way to brew. The paper filters can be used over and over again as long as you rinse it with super hot water (after a while the oils in the coffee become too much for the filter, but it’s absolutely reusable).
You can use the coffee concentrate almost like espresso shots. It doesn’t have the same flavor profile, but instead of hot water, add cold water and you have superior Iced Coffee that better than most bottled Cold Brew. Or can add sugar/syrup, milk and ice and have an iced latte.
Great for camping since it’s so compact.
The only thing I don’t like is that it makes such a smooth cup of coffee, you almost miss a little bit of the bitterness.

Love that it solved having to use the stirrer. I also have the metal reusable filter that tends to drip and need to grind finer, which makes it harder to press.

Wait, isn’t agitating the grounds what the stir stick that it comes with is for?
With it inverted, you can let it steep for longer without half the coffee dripping into the mug. Let it steep for a couple of minutes before capping and inverting it.
How is that any better? It looks the same but in the opposite direction.
(Inverted method) Looks like it was pressed too hard. Or the cap wasn’t tight enough. The liquid was coming out the side.
