Wish I knew how to send you a photo of my attempt at this, you would be so proud of this student!
I got your Chinese unchopped book for my birthday earlier this year and this is easily my go to dish from that book.
Next year I'm trying to convince my better half to let me come visit you for a cooking lesson 😁
I saw this recipe on TV last month. What would be the accompanying dish?
Marinate for how long?
Oooo looks so good I have tried this recipe and wow tasted so good
Couldn't stop eating it, had to cook another one next day
Thank you 👏👏
Hmm, I think you should forget blanching but scorching those hair first on the far side of the pork.. the butcher didn't do so well with the removal..
Crispy belly pork hehe
I'm a butcher. That was decent butchery. Impressed.
Awsome chef!Great channel. Thx
We love this recipe! We always do x2: one for our meal and another for cold snacks the next day ❤️😋❤️ Tastes amazing and authentic!
Love this recipe! ❤️❤️
instead of baking in oven, may it be possible to fry it in oil sir?
How do you get the hair off the skin? Looked like it still had some after the roasting.
Can you make this with a glaze like General Tsos?
I would say Jeremy two tips blow torch the hairs off. Prick the skin, would probably braised it for at least 5 minutes to make the fat softer
That's a helluva lot of 5 spice, I'm still gonna do it though.
hey there,i really like ur vids and the channel, but one thing i noticed is the impression of u being slightly dehydrated, maybe u could check on that because over time this would be very unhealthy
I’ve made this the same way before, but with water in the base of the try. Is it better to omit the water? Great channel. Thanks
What's not to like ….. this looks incredible. But I've gotta stop watching these so late in the evening as I always end up salivating and hungry.
umm so the hair is edible?
Great looking it's just such a shame that you did not remove the hair.
Favourite,,,
God damn!
I have a suggestion: Have you ever heard of "Princess squid" or princess anything? I went to a restaurant that served it and it was like a sweet batter dressed with red pepper flakes & garlic either mixed into the batter or over it???? The batter and a sweet shiny sauce with green onions or something like that and garlic pieces and hot pepper seeds mixed in it. The end product was close to a tempura-like batter fry result, and it was AMAZING! Then, the chef left the restaurant, and not too long afterward, they closed!!! No surprise! The chef was a genius! Also, the batter was a bit stronger than tempura, but light at the same time. My GOD!!! It was magnificent! The chef is gone, and I don't know where he went. The chefs that tried to copy the recipe made it sooooo sweet it was hardly edible!!! Have you heard of this dish? You will be my GOD if you can figure it out!!!
One of my favorite dishes. Can't wait to try this recipe though! As usual, thank you!:-)
wasnt it too salty or the fats just washed off the salt you rubbed on the skin?
That hair though….
Could you use this technique (cook at low heat first and then high) for a single pork belly slice/strip?
Most delicious thing on this planet
fab
Hair hair hari!!!!
Do you eat the hair too jeremy?
Alot of hair….
yummy!😋
Incredible simple but yummy.
