In my honest opinion, if the thermometer is 10° off from reality. You probably wouldn’t even notice during your cook.
I think the ink bird digital thermometers work really well for the price and you can position the pro wherever you want to establish a baseline temperature reading
Then you can observe your dial temperature gauge and ignore the number, but use it as a quick reference while cooking
