WE HAD A JAPANESE FILIPINO SEAFOOD FEAST OF SEA URCHINS HERE IN DAVAO ORIENTAL!
What a great day! Our Japanese friend lost his bag, but it was recovered by locals. Who then invited us to hangout, have some coconut wine, and experience eating sea urchins with bananas. I have had sea urchins before, but honestly never really liked them much. This style of eating them, with bananas and vinegar… AMAZING! It was a lot of fun swimming out and trying to watch locals harvest the urchins. Catch and cook for the win! I didn’t realize you really have to look between the rocks to get them!
The beach was beautiful on this day, the guys went for a morning surf, and I enjoyed my afternoon sea urchin swim… Philippines beach home life continues in Cateel, Davao Oriental, Mindanao!
