Hot milk 40ml
DOUGH
Honey 20g / 1Tbsp
Lukewarm milk 140ml
Instant yeast 2.5g
Flour 240g / 1,3/4cup
Sugar 15g / 2Tbsp
Salt 2.5g / 1/2tsp
Whipping cream 30ml
Unsalted butter 15g / 1Tbsp
Pan Size 10x10cm 2
Bake at 190°C / 370°F for 30-35 minutes

Oh that looks delicious. But one question I have is why they are made in a cube shape? Like is there a practical reason or is it just for aesthetics?
I just made this and it was so tasty! I had some problems with the yeast not making the bread rise enough, but it was very soft, though dense, on the inside. This is my second time baking bread and it was delicious!

kind of like german butter toast. im a german baker and i did them quite a few time they are always very delicious, but nutrition wise i would recomend a good old sauerteigbrot for the daily basis.

I used to make adzuki bean Anpan and it's roughly similar, I don't remember cream though and much more butter.
Is that the "white bread" that they make at Mitsuwa (It used to be Yaohan)? I have been eating that since I was a kid, it is the best bread, square, really soft inside, and good for toast.
