1/3 water way too much for sauce and don't use baking soda. baking soda gives an odd flavor. just tenderize meat with hammer.
1/3 cup water WAY too much for sauce recipe. use 1 tablespoon of water. you want the sugars in the sauce to caramelize a little in the hot wok QUICKLY or you make the broccoli soft and the water can't evaporate fast enough in the wok.

I used way too much soy sauce for marinade and way too much oyster sauce in the sauce. I added too little broccoli as well. Notes for the pocket. It was delicious still!

Very confusing ! Other recipes tell you marinate in baking soda 15 min ,then rinse and boil about 3 min. remove and then use in the recipe adding the sauces.

I made this tonight but I didn’t have cornstarch so I used flour and I didn’t have Chinese white wine so I used white wine vinegar and boy oh boy my husband scraped his plate I paired it with white rice and eggs rolls 😋

Just so you know. You can make slurry out of any type of powdered flour or starch. I like to use tapioca or arrowroot starch instead of corn.
Panda Brand Oyster sauce is the worst of the worst…Disgusting stuff. Megacchef Oyster sauce a 1000 times better. Real Oyster extract and no MSG.
