  1. Thank you for these delicious recipes. We love lumping and glad for that one. The fried rice surprised me the most. I make fried rice all the time and the Asian side of the family likes it better than their own. I would miss the garlic and bean sprouts and even though I use dark soy it doesn't come out dark. Thank God you didn't add peas and carrots I really really hate any fried rice with that in. I was raised in Chicago where they have the best food and no Asian restaurant does that and I think it's a sin. My next door neighbors are Filipino and they bring food over all the time. Now I will make something for them. ❤

  2. Using fried rice as regular rice is an abomination that i blame the US for. Fried rice is a dish all by itself. It isn't supposed to have all kinds of other crap added on top. It's like saying "i'll have the lasagna, served over spaghetti bolognese." It just doesn't make sense.

  3. I've toured US warships. And you want Filipino mess specialists. They can take the crappiest ingredients and make a very tasty dish from it. Trust me, you can tell.

I've eaten adobo pizza, for example. Which sounds odd, and it was, but it was GOOD! The crust wasn't very good, but the toppings, wow. Given what the cooks had to start with, it was a masterpiece. I still remember that pizza to this day, and that was 25+ years ago.
