  1. Here is my concern. The heft of the bottom and its make up can make a big difference regarding scorching. Example, I cook down large batches of apples for applesauce in a stockpot. I have a revere ware, good quality stainless steel with a heavier bottom. It was a gift from my mother-in-law and there is a big difference in comparison to a cheap stockpot. I think that the review should have emphasized this point. An unintended message may have been sent that any old stockpot will do as long as the handles are looped. The review narrative left something to be desired, ATK– with all due respect.🙏

  2. This is shocking, bc a few yrs ago I looked up a stockpot review/test from them, & All Clad won (which was over $200-$300… which I bought, but since my separation (in 2018), my husband took a lot of my things, so been starting over, & looked up another review/test… gonna go w/ this 1 now, lol!

  3. How old is this video? I see it says uploaded in May of 2021, but they frequently re-upload older videos. The reason why I ask is because (following their link) this $28.00 stockpot is now $129.00 on Amazon.

  4. Due to the ridiculous price inflation on Amazon of $130, I just ordered the similar-looking Sedona Pro Stainless Steel 16-Qt. Stockpot with Glass Lid at Macy's for $38 shipped. There was a $25, 12 qt option, but I'd like the option to make huge batches of soup and the dimensions work for the gas stovetop and cabinet I have in mind.

  5. I read comments first, for the replies to them, invariably they turn out to be full of snarky remarks, using the item reviewed as a “screen” so people can bully each other and call names…..doesnt matter what the product is, Hey, they should review a pencil, let the games begin! Lol

  6. We have this pot with these rubber clad handles, and have had it for years. Does it do well enough as a stock pot? Sure. It's not bungling its core function. But, these handles are not meant for the long haul. Over time they loosen and eventually break and tear. Worse, when they do this, they become unpleasant to use. I'd have preferred investing in a pot with flatter handles that would distribute their weight more evenly as I'm transferring the full pot.

  7. "I'd be worried for my safety trying to drain 11bs of hot water in the sink" (paraphrase)

I'm afraid I'd be a lot more worried about you even thinking that was a step needed at all in a recipe or even suggesting that was something sensible and a valid criterion 🙄

  8. Hey feedback from the peanut gallery do not buy the blue one! I got it as a wedding present and it cracked like a month after I got it I had only used it once or twice and the coating chipped and cracked. It’s a terrible quality do not buy that one!!!
