  1. No to all of these. Battery back-up for a fridge and electric stove maybe useful. But I first what to know: how long will the hold a charge in real world and what is the chance they will cause a fire? Even Tesla can't keep their vehicle from bursting into flames. Plus, I can buy and install a whole home battery or generator backup that connects to my breaker panel to power my whole house for less than $2k.

  2. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the same people responsible for the constant “power outages” now aren’t somehow financially benefiting from the explosion of backup batteries and generators I now see on the market.

  3. I LOVE tech stuff. However, it all appears like more things requiring customer service "help" when something doesn't work and/or costly🤑 repairs or repair subscription 😕.
Only really useful thing is the battery backup.

  4. Dishwasher that has hidden handle. And when it fails and stay hidden, well there you go….Cookbooks, ATK online, regular fridge, range, all that are needed in a kitchen, although the backup system may be the best item featured here. Why should my microwave oven be capable of doing so many nonfood related functions? And no prices for any of these items are listed or mentioned.

  5. So while reheating a pizza I can watch it on the screen on the micro oven door. Next step watching laundry on a screen when it tumbles in the washing machine? Maybe a micro owen door made of glass you can se through? No, not high tech enough.

  6. When you work in a commercial kitchen that has a "Rational" oven, you realize that your rational rep can change your ability to adapt to customers by giving you new cooking settings. The settings were originally designed for franchise type cooking, but once the reps gained access to the unique algorithm of each restaurant that cooks ribs, for example, a light went in their head because of how they now have the data to reproduce every effect in a dish for their next customer. One day the home consumer will be that "next customer," of rational because they want to buy a product from the grocery store accompanied with a product code to enter into their oven that can produce temperature and moisture and pressure precisely and on curves. The future doesn't replace cooking, it makes it even more delicious if consumers demand it.

  7. I've been using wireless Bluetooth meat probes for a couple of years from different makers, and I can say without a doubt that for BBQ nerds, it's a game changer. Especially on charcoal and wood smokers with rotisserie. MIC DROP
