  1. We used to make this at a restaurant I worked at with Pecorino, shaved red onion, and a mustard vinaigrette (toasted pine nuts would have been a perfect garnish)
Using a mandolin was the most efficient way to blow through thinly shaving as many brussels as it takes to batch out this salad for guests, and wearing a guard glove opens up that technique to anybody without the worry of finger safety

  2. Thank you for showing how to slice the sprouts by hand. I much prefer to do things manually unless it is absolutely necessary. 😊
This sounds amazing. 🤩 I'm new to the fruit and cheese combination and I am blown away every time I make something with them. 😁
    Thank you for sharing!

  3. This looks interesting! I rarely see brussel sprouts that arent frozen, maybe in the winter time only and they're usually sold on the vine/stalk. I'll give this a try when I see fresh brussel sprouts.

  4. Brussel sprouts is one of those vegetables that I missed out on for years I think I was about 40 when I finally try them and love them! Couldn't believe all that time I thought they were just bad I should have known better. Definitely going to try this salad. Ellie is Awesome by the way.

  5. Brussels sprouts make an excellent sink disposal cleaner. Here’s how: Diagonally cut 1/2 pound BS into 3 inch long pieces. Turn tap water on and with one of those expensive $129.00 instant read thermometers used by ATK, adjust to 115° F. Turn on disposal and then insert BS into the disposal. After disposal motor returns to maximum RPM, turn off water….voila, you’ve just experienced the best use of BS known.
