Ohhh ok. So you actually used more than one Brussels sprout then. The title was misleading.
We used to make this at a restaurant I worked at with Pecorino, shaved red onion, and a mustard vinaigrette (toasted pine nuts would have been a perfect garnish)
Using a mandolin was the most efficient way to blow through thinly shaving as many brussels as it takes to batch out this salad for guests, and wearing a guard glove opens up that technique to anybody without the worry of finger safety
Any idea how many servings this makes?
I am going to ask Santa to give her a SHARP knife for Christmas. Definitely needs it
2# shredded sprouts
3 T lemon juice
2T Dijon
1 T minced shallots
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 t salt
6 T EVOO
What James Baio said. She's so cool and calm. A great presenter.
This salad looks so good! I love all the tips and the instructor is calming and very informative!
Tried and approved! Subbed walnuts. Will make again !
Great recipe Elle. Thanks
Toasted Almonds, Dried Apricots and Havarti cubes ❤️
Oh, Elle. I love everything you do but I’ve always hated Brussel Sprouts. I’ve tried them every way, except this way. I’ll give it a try. I make no promises but it looks like it should taste good. 🤞
If anyone can make me like brussel sprouts, it's Elle.
Thank you for showing how to slice the sprouts by hand. I much prefer to do things manually unless it is absolutely necessary. 😊
This sounds amazing. 🤩 I'm new to the fruit and cheese combination and I am blown away every time I make something with them. 😁
Thank you for sharing!

I usually try to get brussel sprouts that are still on the stalk..amazing freshness..this salad looks amazingly delicious..I will add honey to the dressing and cracked black pepper also..Jack it up y'all!!
What a wonderful idea. Thanks Elle. I'm always delighted with your offerings.
Wow! Looks so lovely!
I love Elle.
You go girl!
This looks amazing
couldn't you use green cabbage instead of the sprouts and get a similar result for a fraction of the price?
ELLE says eat it….. eat it!!!
This looks interesting! I rarely see brussel sprouts that arent frozen, maybe in the winter time only and they're usually sold on the vine/stalk. I'll give this a try when I see fresh brussel sprouts.
Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Great presentation! Have to try this one!
Brussel sprouts is one of those vegetables that I missed out on for years I think I was about 40 when I finally try them and love them! Couldn't believe all that time I thought they were just bad I should have known better. Definitely going to try this salad. Ellie is Awesome by the way.
I love this idea for Brussels Elle! I never thought to make them into a salad. This is such an interesting flavor contrast. Wow this is lovely.
Brussels sprouts make an excellent sink disposal cleaner. Here’s how: Diagonally cut 1/2 pound BS into 3 inch long pieces. Turn tap water on and with one of those expensive $129.00 instant read thermometers used by ATK, adjust to 115° F. Turn on disposal and then insert BS into the disposal. After disposal motor returns to maximum RPM, turn off water….voila, you’ve just experienced the best use of BS known.
Can you use a mandolin?
I love Elle! She has such a great presence and a very knowledgeable chef.
Great teacher!
Nice tips: spraying knife and vinaigrette ratios
Love that ingredients can be interchanged as suggested. Use what you have and keeping the different textures. Go Elle!
Can I substitute kale for the sprouts in this recipe?
