Lemongrass Grilled Pork 🍽️ #recipe #cooking



These are one of those recipes I love to keep in the freezer ready to thaw for a quick and easy meal! Mama Tea’s kreung recipe is top-tier and I’m so grateful she’s willing to share her recipe with all of us 🙏🏼🥰

Lemongrass Paste/ Kreung
* 2 lemongrass stalks, thinly sliced
* 2 shallots, medium, peeled and chopped
* 3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
* 2 kaffir lime leaves
* 10-12 curry leaves, frozen (can omit if not able to find it)
* 1 inch turmeric root, frozen or fresh (or 1 1/2 tbsp ground turmeric powder)
* 1 inch piece of galangal root, frozen
* 1-2 Thai chilies

Pork Marinade:
* 3 lbs pork butt, thinly sliced
* 3 tbsp oyster sauce
* 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
* 2 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
* 2 tbsp honey
* 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
* 1 tbsp chicken boullion
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 1 orange, juiced, ~1/2 cup

1. Grind all lemongrass paste ingredients together until everything is a fine mince.
2. To marinade, add lemongrass paste, thinly sliced pork, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, honey, chicken bouillon, black pepper and orange juice. Marinate for at least 4-6 hours or for best results, marinate overnight.
3. Grill for 4-6 mins on each side or until cooked through. Serve over vermicelli bowl, rice or in a baguette with pickled veggies for a Banh Mi. Enjoy!
