Great video I got to make that 🥩 🔜
Oh my gosh the blue round pillows are what was on our couch growing up.
When you have to cut an onion by hand instead of with the veggie chopper try leaving the root end on. It's easier to cut the onion up as it doesn't fall apart on you while you're chopping it.
First time watching. Love it❤❤❤
Mandy, leave the root end on the onion as you dice it!
You NEVER stear ys wrong! Delicious
In Texas we have chicken fried steak as a STAPLE!! Especially since I’m married to a Cowboy!! Ours is just salt and pepper and milk/buttermilk ad flour. ❤️❤️
Thanks for the fun video again! I’m making the country fried steak tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas for dinner. For me, that’s the hard part of cooking…deciding on what to cook! 🥰💕🙏🦋
We eat chicken fried steak in Idaho. Since I was a kid, my Mom made it at least once a week. I still make it, and we love it! ❤
Miss Mandy where did you get that whisk?
My husband thinks Steven sounds like Tom Hanks. Lol! I bought a chopper after watching you a few times and love it. Hubby saw the cheese grater and thinks we might need one. I noticed you don't use pre shredded very often.
Chicken fried steak and white gravy are definitely Southern dishes. You will not find this on a menu in Canada 😢 and no packages of white gravy, so it has to be home-made.
We came to love this when our son went to college in Oklahoma, and we would visit.
We do make this a couple times a year, but we will definitely try your recipe.
That chicken fried steak looks delicious. It’s definitely a southern thing. I need to add that to my next grocery list.
Oh, that chicken steak looks so good. Haven’t had any in a while. Looks like this household is gonna have to get some love the other stuff. Also, the boys loved it I see that thanks for sharing. Take care.🥰
I like watching you. Cook your recipes. The other day we found out my husband has developed chronic kidney disease due to him having diabetes can you sometimes do a recipe that’s lower and sodium and carbs I have modified a lot of your recipes I understand it’s your page and your show. I also have a Fatty liver and that’s why I started watching your show and that’s easier to cook for than this chronic kidney disease andmy conditions but I just love your family. And we love our southern cooking.
You guys are ADORABLE! If my husband had shown the appreciation the common tater shows I would have cooked waaaaaay more. It’s no fun cooking for someone who “eats to live” when you want the appreciation of someone who “lives to eat”! Best husband ever!
Sometimes ya just got do things the old fashoon way. ( FRY THAT STEAK!!LOL😂😂
HelloMandy. I enjoy watching your videos. I made the cheeseburger Pasta for Sunday dinner today it was delicious. And I totally agree with Steven it really did taste like a cheeseburger. Thank you for sharing.
I'm from Ontario, Canada and my mom made this when I was a teenager. She probably learned it from a TV show or a magazine. I love chicken fried steak and have made it many times. My friends look me at like "what the heck is that" and then they taste it. lol Everyone I have ever made it for has loved it.
They have fried butter at the MN State Fair.
I made the cheeseburger pasta for supper tonight and oh my goodness, it was delicious! My family loved it including my 7 year old granddaughter. Thank you for this yummy recipe ❤
Oh Mandy…
I told the hubby..next time I say I'm going to fry something..tell me No!!!!!!..I have never been able to crunchy fry anything..bless his heart he said the chicken fried steak had good flavor..that's kinda like thinking the grey hair coming in was highlights…ha!..I have 2 more cube steaks..dare I try the air fryer…🫣🙄
Everything looks so good! ❤
I live in Oregon and we love chicken fried steak.
I'm sorry I tuned in just for Gracie. My fault❤
I still can not find the corn receipt
When breading chicken I normally use one hand to dip into the wet mixture and the other into the dry mixture. It seems to keep my hand from getting so gummy. Everything you cooked looks amazing! Y'all stay warm in this cold weather 🙂
Princess 😹😹😹
😂 I had to laugh when you said your food used to taste like concrete. My hubby and I have been married for 24 years. He likes to tell people “I used to ask for seconds just to keep ‘er from crying.” I to have become a better cook over the years. 👍😁 We have “go backer” meals for real now.
I plan on trying the cheeseburger meal.
I’m from Chattanooga, now live in north GA, just over the state line, but I grew up with my memaw calling it country fried steak n gravy. She dredged cubed steak in flour and salt/pepper then shallow fried with some onions. She used the oil to make a light brown roux and used water to turn to brown gravy. And cooked the steak in that gravy for like an hour on low until it was just fall apart tender. So good. Chicken fried steak to our family was the kind with thick crust like fried chicken of course and had thick white pepper gravy. Not saying memaws way was the only way, but I believe every family is different. Who cares what it’s called if it tastes good…😂Thanks for sharing!!! Oh and we always had to have mashed taters and canned sweet peas with our steak n gravy. lol still cook it that way for my boys now💚
Mandy you make me laugh! You are awesome! So glad I found you. Appreciate what you help me do for my family. Dinner ideas are not nearly as hard because of you!
