I live 10 minutes from the Maine border in New Hampshire…. Southern Maine to be exact right by all most of the stores and restaurants…. The average main place does not make lobster rolls covered in that much mayo and all those condiments…. That's definitely not how they do it in Maine
Me and my family own a lobster roll restaurant and we were being curious and we are all from Maine so we always ate them cold and sometimes as ct with butter but one day we got curious and did a warm lobster roll with butter AND mayo and it issss sooooo good and is now our #1 selling roll (we call it the perfect storm π )
Connecticut, all the way. I hate mayonnaise in any form. I have thrown food back at someone who refused to leave it off my sandwich when they said I had to pay for no matter what. Fine, I got my money's worth.
Oh man, been away from New England for many years, when I went back to visit one first things was getting me a lobster roll. Will not eat lobsters here in the south though, not tasty at all.

Just lobster meat, butter and lemon.
Toast the bun… π₯ Boom

both are good, but the real answer is that when you order a whole lobster, do they give you warm butter, or a bottle of mayo?
No shade, I thought this was one of those candle wax videos at first π
Mayo on a lobster roll should be illegal hahaha, Connecticut style all the way.
