Big Night In At Home – This is Mike’s favourite… in fact if given the choice I think he’d live off nothing but lobster! We serve ours up two ways in toasted brioche rolls.

Take a rolling pin, and from claw end of the thin legs… apply firm pressure and the meat will rollout easy as pie.
I want to hear them banging on the sides of the pot!
I live on Prince Edward Island and like Maine we are known for our lobster here as it is one of our biggest industries & exports. You explained the process of killing, cooking, and getting the lobster meat out really well. Loved the video!!
Thanks for including the death of the lobster, and for doing it humanely. Because it's important for us to accept responsibility for whatever we consume on this planet, and appreciating the cost is the foundation for using meat sparingly. ❤️
use a rolling pin to squeeze the meat out of the small legs
I was a little disappointed watching Ben destroy the lobster. I’m not a chief, but I could have gotten the meat out without the big knife.
Staying in is the new going out. Oh boy, that didnt age well
Hi guys!!! I love all of shows that you do. Me being from New England. Boston, MA, USA to be exact. I do love me some lobster rolls. It's the ULTIMATE indulgence. I love either or. Hot with butter or cold with mayo. I will say though it looked like you put way too much mayo in the cold preparation. You only want to add a little because you still want to taste more sweetness from the lobster than you do have creamy and salty mayo. Overall, great dish. Loved that fact also you paired it with potato chips (crisps). That's how we do it here in New England. It's a staple and one of the cornerstone dishes here as well. Love the beer pairings as well with your savory dishes. I would've paired it with a Samuel Adams type beer like a Boston Lager or Summer Ale.
Great that you use a knife guys! But you really don’t need to put it in the freezer before killing it. The knife kills the lobster in less than a second so why on earth would you make it “go sleepy” in the freezer before that. Any stress the lobster will feel on the board before the knife, it will probably also feel when put in the freezer. On the board, knife through the head, done.
And also, I grew up in a small fishing town in Sweden so I am not pulling this out from a dark place.
i miss big night in so much
Saw frozen lobster at the store today and thought about trying, but was unsure what to do with it. This sounds great!
sorted food was really ahead of the times with this series eh
0:10 someone was foreseeing 2020😂
Eggs are one of those foods I would never want to give up either…. Till this fall when I became allergic to them. I would love to see you guys come up with a non tofu egg substitute that most mimics a runny egg yolk in taste and texture. Or do vegan egg recipes that are not tofu. I'm not vegan in any way. 😁
Why
Are you boiling lobsters
with the rubber bands still on
Wow how it has changed from Jamie being sad about a joke to now with Dad joke of the week
Did anyone else come back here after their Seafood Scavenger Hunt video?
Nothing like binge watching an awesome food channel…while eating top ramen from the microwave. 😂
awwwwwwww the poor lobster…theyre so darn cute. Looks like its quiche time
I was assigned to central Europe with the US Army 40 years ago.Got to work with BAOR )British Army on the Rhine) and was granted a regiimenal tie. Great stuff. Traveled to Englam..the food was bland at best. What changed and why? All looks great now!
I love lobster. However, I haven't seen you guya,do, and I have a plethora of mud bugs by my home. Crayfish rolls?
I learned a trick do getting the meat out of the legs. Snip the ends off and then use a rolling pin. It pops out like toothpaste!
Please bring ‘Big Night In’ back to your channel. I would love to see what you guys love to eat at home for fun.
I burnt four fingers cooking lobster only to find out I don't like lobster.
Ben makes "BUTTER" sound like sex–GOOD sex!
You always steam lobster. NEVER boiled!!!!
This looks tasty…sometimes I really regret not being able to eat any type of shellfish :/
Normally avoid lobster because i worry about it being in pain (im a wimp) made me love Ben even more seeing how far he went to keep it out of pain
Potatoes
They forgot to tell people to take that plastic type thing out the claw meat
what if in place of live lobster i use frozen prawns?????
Great question at the end. The right answer is peppers. A world without hot sauce is a sad world. Second best answer is beer.
so, ive never had a lobster roll, but I buy imitation lobster because i like the flavor of lobster, well I decided to try a microwave variation of your warm lobster roll, and I'm quite pleased with it
You kidding me? I wish someone would stab me in the head while I'm asleep. Sounds way nicer than old age or diseases.
I'm allergic to seafood, I'm allergic to bread, and hell I'm even allergic to soy (mayo). I'm literally just here for the banter, and it's totally worth it. 🙂
Have you ever tried a curried lobster roll cold or hot? So good!
Best lobster rolls…Red Barn in Augusta Maine. Could be Vassalboro. It's on those towns' border.
Favorite sorted series
I can’t believe you left the elastics on while cooking it…
Killing lobster is harder (to look) than killing catfish. I can smack a catfish all the day and let it die in the sink. Not lobster though.
Ben you fool! Take the rubber bands off before you boil the lobster. Prevents any rubber flavor.
Ok wait…Ben said don't waste any flesh…but then he said that we should not take the meat out from the legs cos its not worth it….so which is it??
And 15 min per 1kg and then 3min per kilogram
Lobsters don’t feel pain
Cheese. Same sort of thing as eggs-there are so many things to do with it. Plus I just love it.
Does freezing the lobster not damage/affect the meat?
As a native of Connecticut, buttery lobster rolls are the only way to go.
I wonder if the people saying they cried over the lobster would also bawl their eyes out when buying steak for date night…
