Looks good, but I will make mine with only white meat. I have never liked dark meat. And if the cheese doesn’t have a crust I don’t want it. 😍

Very similar to one of my go tos. I have cream cheese in the casserole and shred cheese on top. I add chopped broccoli (good idea Teresa) but most everything else is the same. I top it with a box of dry stuffing mix which adds a great crunch and I leave out the egg noodles. So similar but different. Thanks, Paula!

how can this be a go to dish for mom when servicing alcohol to your children?

SOrry that is too cheesy and too carby for me, and prob for athletic kids going to I’m basketball games lol. I don’t put less cheese, def add pimentos and add frozen peas.
My mama always wanted the bowls to be cleaned out well
i don't like canned mushrooms. I would use fresh cooked ones. That looks delicious otherwise.

Growing up in the 50’s 60’s there was no such thing as a picky eater. You ate it, or went hungry. It was a no bs time to be alive, lol
Paula your a gal after my own heart. I would have done the same with the pimento. Some chopped green onion would look lovely and taste yummy on top
I love a good casserole! I learned how to make them as a young mom, because my late, beloved mother was Italian and NEVER made casseroles. Ever. She was an excellent cook, never followed recipes…..but the first time I had a tuna casserole I thought I saw Jesus LOL LOL Looks so good, Paula, Thank you!!!

All I have to say is yum!
My family doesn't care for mushrooms so I'll sub cream of onion soup and chopped onions (and leave out that red peppers too!). Looks infinitely customizable!
