It looks scrumptious! 😋
Team savory! Thanks for all you do, Ashley. (BTW, I live around the corner from the Lighthouse Inn).
This looks brilliant. I can't wait to make this ! I make a lot of full pan lasagnas ànd this will be a fun change up.
I can't find gruyere. We have Publix, Foodlion and Lowes.
What’s that grater that she used for the cheese?
Mushrooms are not a vegetable.
Love this and can't wait to give it a try!
Minor point though… mushrooms are not a vegetable… they aren't even plants! 😅
Looks like you used Pillsbury Pie Dough – SO NOT PLANT BASED!!! This dough has LARD, a pork product. Can anyone tell me of a pre-made pie dough that doesn't have LARD in it? Butter would be OK as I'm not Vegan, but I won't do LARD.
Hello Michelle, I just love when you cook for us. This is very close to a crostada which I make with leeks and Boursin cheese. It is amazing served with a side salad. My son grew up loving it. Oh, and BTW, may I be on "Team Both"?
I Love Ashley…..
Awesome and simple recipe! Tried it and enjoyed it very much
Team sweet AND team savory…. I enjoy them both. Can't wait to try this recipe!
Mushrooms aren’t a vegetable.
But…isn’t Pillsbury pie dough SWEET?! I always have to make my own for this kind of thing because I’ve been unable to find non-sweet premade pie dough (aside from Smart & Final’s but it’s preformed into a tin so making a freeform is problematic). I simply can’t stand a sweet dough in a savory dish! Anyone know of a premade that’s not sweet?
I am team savoury. For example, I would choose a cheddar/jalapeno or parmesan/fines-herbs scone over a sweet scone any day of the week.
what i loved was the short cuts the pre made dough i work so i need all of those short cuts
They’re fungi. mushrooms are not vegetables but you are right they make a good meat sub.
leeks do come from the same genius as onions so yes they are a type of onion they are related … allium
If I make this and take it to a party, c
an I just reheat it there or will the bottom be soggy?
I make a similar recipe regularly for my wife. I'm surprised you can put the hot mixture on the pie dough. I usually wait for it to cool before assembly.
Savory!
Go Ashley! GO Ashley GO ASHLEY!!!
Wow! That looks delicious! Guess I know what I'm making this weekend.
Savory for the win!
Mostly Sweet, but I also like savory!!
Whats the diffenence between puff pastry and pie dough? We dont have the latter here (outside US). How do I make it?
Awesome!
Yep, she referred to mushroom as vegetables many times in the video. No producers corrected her??
Checking my freezer now for the pie dough now. Got everything else. Can't wait.
I could use some ideas for savory pastry along these lines.
Absolutely love this series! Thank you for the recipe!
Wondering if a splash of something alcoholic would be tastey…
Definitely savory!
Team savory
What can I use instead of mushrooms? Not a fan of them.
You can plant the leek root end.
