CAKE: -1 chocolate cake layer (I reduced the sugar a bit) use any box cake or store bought -3/4 cup chocolate milk (I did half regular milk and half chocolate to reduce the sugar)
FROSTING: -125g or 1/2 cup – room temp cream cheese – about 1/3 cup or 80 ml – sweetened condensed milk (I used a bit less) – 1 1/4 cup (300ml) – heavy cream/whipping cream – 1/2 tsp – vanilla extract
GANACHE: – 3.5 oz – dark chocolate – 3.5 oz – heavy cream – really hot
CHOCOLATE CEREAL – 1 1/4 cup – rice crispies or cocoa puff or whatever – 2-3 tbsp – melted dark chocolate or half Nutella half chocolate – 2-3 tbsp – unsweetened cocoa powder
1. Place the cake in pan and pour milk to soak. 2. Beat together the cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla together until smooth. 3. Pour the heavy/whipping cream in as you beat it and continue until it thickens up enough to almost stiff peaks. Donβt over mix because it can become runny. 4. Add it onto the cake and smooth out into an even layer. 5. Place in the fridge to chill and set while you make the ganache and cereal topping. 6. Combine chocolate and hot cream into a bowl and let it sit until the chocolate melts. Whisk into a smooth mixture. Let it cool a bit. 7. Mix cereal with melted chocolate until all coated and add in the cocoa powder. Close lid and shake until evenly distributed. 8. Take out cake from fridge and pour ganache and smooth out. Refrigerate for a few hours to set or just enjoy right away. Itβll be softer and more gooey. 9. Evenly sprinkle cereal to cover the top before serving. Press down on it to get it to stick to the ganache (esp if itβs too cold and itβs not sticking)
