Awesome-
Recipe
I tried them and they turned out great!
They make the best burger buns out there! Or even better on a BLT!
Can’t wait to make these.
I want to make them with RYE is it even possible???
Great recipe. Thanks, Martha!
Kaiser…
This was an epic fail for me. Following the directions verbatim, I wound up with dough the consistency of paste. My mixer nearly burnt out, and I had to add more water until it was the same as what I saw in the video. The final product was doughy and tasted more like dinner rolls than kaiser rolls. Usually, I have much better luck with her recipes, but I won't be making this one again.
Do the rolls rise again after they're shaped? She doesn't say for how long they should rise once they're shaped. Mine are delicious but a little dense! Anyway, I love her shaping method. Looks like a real kaiser roll.
k-k-kaiser?!?!!! KAISER IMPACT!!!
I'm a new Yorker and we would buy them at the corner store now I live in Charlotte nc and I buy them at Harris teeter they make them fresh ❤
I literally followed step-by-step and mine came out too thick and doughy as well as extremely dry. I don’t think anyone’s going to really know the secret of how professional Kaiser roles are made.
Martha is The GOAT of cooking !!!! xx
Martha! I never have success when making any bread products. But these turned out PERFECT! I love your recipes, especially the parchment paper turkey one. Thank you for sharing your talents with me <3
BECSPK
Neden tam ölçüler ingilzice bile yazmiyor hic bir yerde?
I would put the honey with the egg mix
They remind me of the streets of Brussels in the morning. Damp cobbles and bakeries smelling of fresh bread and espresso.
Real Kaiser rolls are lean, and do not have eggs in them
I would make garlic toast out of them. Slather with garlic butter and toast until melted/edges a little browned. Amazing!
The store-bought kaiser rolls I've eaten since childhood are spectacular.
just made rolls turned out great!!!
I don’t want to make that many rolls what are the measurements to make only two rolls for breakfast?
They are originated in Vienna/Austria and are originally called Kaiser Semmel
Terrible recipe! Proportion are WAAAAAYY off!! Not cool!
What is the given weight of each dough for each kaiser roll?
I need more water than recommended for 6 cups of flour.
Am Egyptian we call this Kaiser bread
am so happy I found this video I always wanted to make some because the store ones don’t taste nice and have a lot of sugar.
OMG – Martha doesn't weigh her ingredients for baking? Hard to believe!
*****Came back at the end of the video to observe that she never demonstrated how to actually braid the dough.
Sorry Martha Not enough yeast for 6 cups of flour.
oh martha, driving down to portchester and getting a fresh roll from from one of the bakeries is sublime. home is great too, however lets not belittle such an experience.
They look perfect. I miss real great Kaiser rolls. Can't find them anymore 😢My German Mother was very fussy about bread and rolls. They had to be a certain German style, now I want the same thing. So, I am good with yeast, I will make my own 😊 ty for the recipe 🌞
Looks lovely. Would you happen to have this in grams by any chance?? Can't wait to make these!
Thanks Martha, living in the south I miss my New England favorites like hard rolls. They’re great for tuna sandwiches too!
Now, if I can just get a recipe for a really good Neopolitan/margarita pizza like I can get in Little Italy… without a brick oven unfortunately…
Ha ha ha, they keep harping on us to never tap the eggs on the edge of the bowl to crack them. Here she is, the legendary Martha Stewart, doing exactly that. 😎♥️👏👏👏👏👏 @MarthaStewart. Just subscribed. You’re such a great inspiration. Thank you very much for taking the time to make this excellent teaching video. Am heading to my kitchen to make a smaller batch.
I make my scrambled eggs "Martha Stewart" style. Everybody loves them. I'm going to try these Kaiser Rolls next. Thank you Martha.
I can;t write this down fast enough is there a written recipe
Philly has Kaiser/ hard rolls,too
Looks delicious I will have to make these soon
Can I froze it ? Raw or baked ?
I grew up in New York and every neighborhood had a bakery that made these. I have craved this roll many times but could never find them online as I never knew the name of them. In December I described the rolls to my housemate and asked if he knew what they were called as he also grew up in New York, and he told me, "oh, kaiser rolls!" I looked it up and yes, finally I found them!, searched for a recipe, found Martha's right away, thank you yes!, and made them with my housemate. They came out perfectly. He was satisfied but I was ecstatic to have again these wonderful rolls, and have been making them now twice a month. They are exactly as I remember them, with added poppy seeds and dried onion. Thank you Martha!
