Masitas De Puerco | Fried Pork Chunks | Cuban Recipes | Chef Zee Cooks

Masitas de Puerco are gently fried pork chunks and one of my favorite authentic Cuban recipes. You can make this dish using pernil, pork loins, or even country style ribs. Regardless of what you use, this easy pork recipe is to die for! Don’t confuse these with chicharrones which are also just as tasty! Masitas de Puerco are fairly easy to make and they essentially cook themselves. Enjoy this dish with yuca, plantains, tostones or even mashed potatoes! Give it a try and don’t forget to subscribe.

  1. I marinate my pork the exact same way but I put ham seasoning in it and I fry it in Bacon fat from the morning which is basically the same thing as lard and it comes out tasting like bacon that's also how I fried pork skins

  3. This Tampa girl misses Cuban cooking, and I had no idea how to cook it until now! THANK YOU for your channel! I made my very first Cuban meal last night using your videos and recipes, and it was fantastic!

  4. Chef Zee, why didn’t you just add the onion to the pan that you cooked the pork in to pick up some of the fond? It would have been one less pan to clean. Or is that breaking a Cuban rule? I think I will make this with pork riblets. Thanks!

  5. Hey!!! Love the recipe! Im actually trying it RIGHT NOW! It seems though that i added too much oil, I’m guessing that is why the water won’t evaporate! 😬 I doubt you’ll see this but if you do I’d love to know how to save the dish!!

  6. My favorite Cuban dish when I go out for it. I made this for a dinner party and it was a hit. Made this gringo look like a star! Making it again tonight for myself. Thanks for the great easy to follow recipe!
