Danielle’s Matcha Breakfast Smoothie is perfect for a healthy, blended breakfast on the go. It’s hydrating and packed with protein and nutrients to get your day started right. The special ingredient is matcha – green tea leaves that have been blended into a powder – super concentrated and packed full of goodness. To make this Matcha Breakfast Smoothie you’ll need matcha green tea powder, rolled oats, macadamia nuts, peanut butter, runny honey, vanilla seeds, almond milk and coconut water. Blend it all together with ice and garnish with an extra sprinkle of matcha powder over the top.

Well, I am not as thin as Danielle is and while this smoothie maybe better than a full english breakfast, I would like to comment from the research I have done about low-fat raw-vegan health food: This drink is high-fat (as in percentage of calories from fat is high) and it would be better to replace the nuts with bananas. Also, matcha is a bit of a stimulant, but I have not read about it that much.

  2. After living in Japan I will say Matcha on it's own is like taking a shot of Tequila for me way too strong, but when you mix it especially with notes of vanilla it's amazing and a canister of it can last awhile you really don't need a lot to get a good kick.
