SO EASY Melt-in-the-mouth Braised Soya Sauce Pork Belly With Eggs Aunty Mary Cooks. This is a very country Chinese cooking. So easy to cook a big pot and feed a crowd. Aunty Mary shows how to cook this simple and easy braised soya sauce pork belly with eggs at home. This dish goes very well with plain rice or scooped over noodles.

This dish is very similar to the soya sauce chicken. The seasoning is the same but easier to cook. There’s no frying. Everything is put into the pot and braised.

Ingredients

1.5 kg pork belly (8 rashes)
1 big bulb garlic, peel and smash1 knob ginger, smash4 pcs star anise2-3 bay leaves10 hard boiled eggsSeasoning Sauce1/2 C brown sugar (I used unrefined Demerara sugar)1/2 C wine (I used sherry; can use shaoxing wine or mirin)
1/2 C soya sauce1/4 C dark soya sauce1/4 C water1 tsp corn starchNote:1. Using 10 hard boiled eggs is just nice for the sauce.
