ok, I know this recipe calls for a lot of ingredients but it’s a very very simple recipe! In the video I’ll teach you how to cook char siu from home and you’ll love it.
Ingredients:
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice:
1 tbsp Sugar
1 piece red fermented tofu:
1 tbsp red fermented tofu juice
3-4 cloves of minced garlic
1 tbsp oyster sauce:
1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine/dry sherry:
2 tbsp dark soy sauce:
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp sesame oil:
2 tsp molasses
2 tbsp warm water
1 tbsp honey

I've followed StrictlyDumpling for years – have never been suggested this channel, and I look up Asian/Chinese cooking constantly, never-ever seen these videos come up in the search – and I searched the exact recipes in your titles. Air fryer method is so much easier.
I watched several Char siu and they do not use the tofu..
So it's tough to find small portions of this. Unless I go to a butcher. Soooo I'm gonna try this is the pork stew chunks since it's easier to find. Hopefully it goes 👌

In your recipe you written 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce but when you did the presentation you only put in 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce… And also in your recipe you did wrote 1 tsp of salt…
