My easy chocolate chip banana bread recipe uses the following simple ingredients:

• Ripe bananas
• Vegetable oil
• Eggs
• Sugar
• All purpose flour
• Vanilla extract
• Baking soda
• Baking powder
• Salt
• Mini chocolate chips

I prefer to use vegetable oil (such as mild olive oil) when making a moist chocolate chip banana bread recipe. Why? Because a banana bread made with oil usually tastes moister than those made with butter. Vegetable oil is a liquid at normal room temps (whereas butter is a solid) and this helps to create a delicious & extra moist chocolate chip banana bread.

Why use mini chocolate chips to make this easy chocolate chip banana bread recipe? Because they float better than “regular” chocolate chips. Regular chocolate chips are heavier and often sink to the bottom of banana breads. In contrast, mini chocolate chips spread out better in the batter because they are lighter.

  2. I just like to use 2 cups banana. I found most recipes dont have a strong flavor to me so i started using more bananas. I was curious tho, have you ever made sugar cream pie? I lost my old recipe. Haven't found it on youtube and the stores dont have it anymore. Chess pie is ok i guess but just not the same. Just thought i would ask. The recipe used a bouble boiler i remember
