Melon Smoothie
With the tanginess of orange and the creaminess of vanilla ice-cream, the not-so-popular muskmelon transforms into a delightful drink! Garnish the melon smoothie with a well-cut wedge of muskmelon to enhance its visual appeal.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes.
Cooking Time: Nil.
Makes 2 big glasses.
1½ cups chilled, deseeded and roughly chopped muskmelon (kharbooja)
½ cup readymade chilled orange juice
4 tbsp chilled fresh curds (dahi)
½ cup vanilla ice-cream
2 tbsp sugar
For serving
2 muskmelon (kharbooja) wedges
1. Combine the orange juice, curds, vanilla ice-cream, muskmelon and sugar and blend in a juicer till the mixture is smooth and frothy.
2. Pour equal quantities of the smoothie into 2 individual glasses.
3. Serve immediately garnished with a muskmelon wedge on the rim of each glass.
