I did similar to that cherry braid. But I stuffing the pastry with apple. And it also come out nice like Amerin apple pie. My late Austrian husband teach me. It is Austrian food and they called it Apfelschlange, pardon me, if it is wrong spelling.
I did also once with pineapple, also good. I think any fruits will work very well with pastry and cheese spread.🤤
