I just bought a Prestige 500RSIB SS propane grill from you guys with a nice freebie from Napoleon, and free shipping, to boot. I can't wait to put a reverse sear to our first steaks on this new grill! This will replace a 17+ year old, three-time rebuilt, Char-Broil TEC that, unfortunately (or perhaps, fortuitously…), blew over in the wind flat on its back. Since the gas line to the rear burner was pinched it can no longer be trusted. Alas, this provided me with the perfect excuse to stop drooling over the Napoleon Prestige series and start enjoying all the goodness in features and functionality their lineup offers. Git Er Grillin'!
Can't review something you sell!
The rear burner isn't truly an infrared burner. It's just regular tube burner with a stainless cover over it. A bit misleading.
The rest of the grill is fantastic however.
How can I get a Prestige Pro 500 in Australia?
Where are the grills made?
Awaiting delivery from you of a NG Prestige RSIB 500 + accessories. Excited to get it – our $100 (used) Charbroil rusted out to the point of being very dangerous. The Napoleon is a giant step up and hopefully the wife will notice the lighted knobs and no longer leave the grill on overnight, or for several days as has happened before.
Contemplating purchasing a Prestige before the price increase. Will the higher price be for this exact same model, or will there be an upgraded version? If the later, I wouldn’t mind waiting and paying more if it will be better. Hopefully the quality wouldn’t get worse as I’ve heard with Weber’s.
What’s the difference between the prestige pro 665 and the prestige 665?
Hello. Just purchased the Prestige 500. Decided to spend the money and purchase a good quality BBQ. Did our homework and read a lot of reviews. First time using it we had issues with the ignition. Have been trying it from time to time to see if there is a learning curve. Our old beater never gave us a problem! It can take up to 10 tries to ignite. Very seldom does it ignite on first or second try. Is this common? Right now for the money spent, I wish I could return it. Not off to a good start!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have one of these and it flairs up like a mother F'er. Bad with any fatty foods
My Napoleon Prestige is over 20 years old and still going strong!
6 to 8 weeks for delivery ?L? what?
The lead singer of Nickleback makes incredible bbq videos as well!??? Is there anything this man can't do?!
Hi, I loved your review and I am wondering from my reading reviews; that the cover discolors when at a high temperature, and the lower compartment is NOT Stainless Steel and can rust; is that true? for over a $1000 grill, one expects everything to be top quality, don't you think!
Hi guys need a bit of guidance, looking to upgrade to a proper grill and so far it’s between the Prestige 500 and the Weber Genesis II 435. Which would you recommend? Or is there a different model I should consider? Thanks
Any thoughts between the prestige/prestige pro vs the broil king imperial 590? Build quality or infrared vs standard rotisserie and side burner?
If you had to chose between the prestige 500 vs Weber genesis 2 special edition which would you take?
I'm debating between the prestige 500 RISB stainless and the weber genesis ii s-335. I like the rotisserie burner on the napoleon but have heard it flares up a little more and not quite as even heat on the grilling surface. Have you found that to be true? Which one has a higher build quality in your opinion? And then there is the option of going up to the prestige pro 500 but not sure if it is a lot better quality (more 304) than the prestige.
I'm not a big fan of gas grills but that one seems to be pretty nice. Thank for sharing.
yea I have a question why for that price does Napoleon use cheap 430 stainless in their grills?? Seems to me for that much money they would use type 304 stainless ! especially for easier cleaning!!
But… Its supposed to be tiny and have a huge ego…
Great gas flavor.
