This chili recipe is a World Champion Chili Recipe from the 2017 Terlingua Chili Cook-Off. This is the championship-winning recipe from Brent Allen. In the video, we show you how to make a competition style chili (which doesn’t allow for fresh ingredients) but we do not follow the recipe to a T, so please check out Brent Allen’s competition-winning chili recipe here:
All of the world champion recipes are also posted on the Chili Appreciation Society Appreciation website.
There are several different ways to make a red chili recipe and this is a competition championship chili recipe so it does not include many of those raw ingredients found in a home version of the traditional comfort food chili recipe such as onions or peppers. In competition, you can’t add raw ingredients so you must use powders. If you want to try this at home — which I recommend because it is DELICIOUS — you can buy all of the chili powders I named online.

🔴 Watch me make a homemade BEER Cheese and put it on a Wagyu Burger! https://youtu.be/fajQoXegMlY
Too many preservatives 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🤮🤮🤮🤮👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻have nothing natural
I prefer a more homemade approach for my chili's, but clearly the judges like those packaged seasoning mixes. Also, you forgot the beans. Really, this could be the base for either a chili or stew. You decide if you want to add beans, or potato and carrots. Good stuff!
Good guy but nasty recipe yuk
I've used this recipe as a skeleton for my chili. I've won a few contests. I add a bunch of stuff but the process is gold.
Good God the amount of sodium in this recipe is dangerous..
No fresh onion peppers, garlic, or kidney beans 😮
Just ate 4 bowls and sprayed one out all over the bathroom wall.
What kind of chilli is this? An industrial Chilli…. Cooking with all that INDUSTRIAL SHIT Is for Idiots. Learn how to cook a chilli
Got Dat boil goin!
If only there were a way to get bacon grease and have delicious bacon as a byproduct…….
I've made a couple different recipes found on the CASI website including Margaret's and they are always amazing. I'm going to have to give this a try soon now that I have a smoker. One question, I know this is an older video, do you know which sazon Goya to use? There are a few kinds that I've seen including Goya Sazon Seasoning coriander and annatto, and also Sazon with saffron, cilantro with tomato in addition do I think there is an AP seasoning. No one ever really mentions which one so if you have the answer please let me know. Great video by the way and I just subscribed!
World or National championship?
Or are you the NFL?
Why do you leave big chunks of beef together instead of working them into smaller bit? And even more puzzling is why you didn’t render all the fat from the beef before adding the broth? You could have achieved a really tasty caramelisation on it. Otherwise you’re just boiling the meat (not so tasty)
absolute refusal to stir lmao !
This is shit. Just mixing together processed onion, processed stocks, powdered onions powdered garlic and purchased blends of chilli powders and ketchup and all in a fucking bucket. How could this ever be authentic to the old chilli queens? Not even any oregano!!! No real or even canned tomato. This is not food to be bothered with. And the cooking "technique" is no different from that required to mix paint. Typical red-neck Trump voter trash fodder. And did you see the rubberised vomit cheese that he added at the end. Such stuff could easily have been made from the crude oil organics coming up from a fracking shale oil bore hole. UGH!!
Pretty sure RT is basically ground chili peppers.
That’s what a quick google search told me.
I see you have forgotten something
Needs more salt…..
I have Smellevision my invention 🤙🏻😂❤️
Hunt's tomato sauce?? No, no, no, no! Hunt's is the WORST.
Looks good, too bad i suffer from baby mouth and can't handle heat.
What Dutch oven is this that you are using?
This is the best Chili on YT ….all the recipes with other guys putting carrots, potatoes, big chunks of onions in the chili pretty much suck
LMAO which nation? Certainly not America!
looks awful. ingredients are amateurish
2 ounces of water has me rolling laughing🤣
I actually eventually got around to making this. I cut back on a few of the things because holy Jesus Murphy it's salty. My first attempt at making this was successful in the fact that I created a thing that looked like chili but the taste was almost unbearable due to the levels of salt. 1 tbsp would give you your sodium intake for a week. Maybe i did it wrong im not sure but I ended up just using low sodium everything and insured that chili powders and stuff that I got didn't have any added salt in them. I also tried this with Home roasted chilies blended up in a food processor with some onion and i have to say thats my favorite version. I used it as nacho dip and I put it on hot dogs for chili cheese dogs. Sensational.
Those spices need a lot more meat!
(This is what happens at around 0300 hours when drunk blokes get home from the local pub and decide it's time to cook breakfast!)
You forgot the finishing touch of a chopped Naga Viper pepper…
Dump #3:
Blasting off in the toilet after eating that horrible concoction!
There’s no beans in it…😧 It’s just meat & spicy tomato sauce…the only time I would use no bean chili is on hot dogs
Looks pretty half arsed
No fresh peppers? You call that chili? My ass
