    Oddly enough not being picked to be apart of the show actually made me gain a little confidence. You think your comments will hurt me now? I don’t think so, not getting picked was way more humbling than people’s negative comments.

    Brine:
    – 3-4lbs skinless bonesless chicken thighs (pound to make it even)
    – 1 cup pickle juice
    – 5 cups cold water
    – 1 tbsp salt
    – 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
    – 1 tbsp slap ya mama
    – 1 tbsp pepper corn
    – 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
    – 1 tbsp sugar
    – 1 tbsp garlic powder
    – 1 tbsp onion powder
    – 6 garlic cloves
    – 1/4 cup hot sauce
    – 1 tbsp smoked paprika
    – Cayenne pepper (optional)

    Dredge:
    1st: 1 cup flour, 1tsp salt and pepper
    2nd: 1 1/2 flour, 1 cup cold water, 1/2 cup ice, and 1 tbsp slap ya mama.
    3rd: 1 cup flour 3-4 cup corn starch, 1 tbsp slap ya mama, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

    Coleslaw:
    – 3 cups cabbage
    – 1 cup mayo
    – 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
    – 1 tbsp honey
    – 1/2 lemon
    – 1 tsp white vinegar
    – Salt & pepper to taste

    Additional ingredients:
    – Brioche Buns
    – Pickles
    – Fresno chilis
    – Cheese
    – Tomatoes
    – Homemade Butter Ranch (recipe in previous reels)

    Instructions:
    1. Brine chicken thighs for at least 3 hours or over night. Do not exceed past 24 hours.
    2. Get your dredge station ready by mixing everything together in 3 separate bowls.
    3. Pat dry chicken & evenly sprinkle slap ya mama seasoning. Then dip in 1st, 2nd, then 3rd dredge. Making sure to shake off any excess flour through all 3. Squeeze the flour onto the chicken on the 3rd step to make sure it sticks. Lay on rack, and heat up oil.
    4. When oil reaches 380°F, (approximately med-high) carefully drop chicken in. When chicken is in lower to medium. Cook for 7 mins, rest for 2 mins. Then double fry and continue cooking for another 6-8 mins depending on size of chicken.
    5. Place on a wired rack and hit it with cayenne pepper for extra heat.
    6. Assemble sandwich with toasted bun, ranch, tomatoes, pickles, peppers, chicken, cheese, and more ranch. Serve immediately and enjoy!
