Great recipe, Orzo is my latest new found love 😊
I make this all the time for years now and I watch this video sometimes while I eat the first bowl. I love it so much thank you for sharing.
Leave the chicken out. In fact, leave the dirty bird out of everything. A whole pot of this went into the bin.
Making this.
Risotto? I wonder what peas would be like in this. Or Mushrooms or both. it's very Risotto inspired.
Chef John, this recipe has changed my life. I’ve been making riffs and varieties of this dish biweekly for as long as I can remember. (chicken thighs, different fresh/dried herbs, extra & different cheeses to finish)
I’d like to say a big thank you for this recipe (and all of your videos) because it’s definitely been a staple one-pot meal when i need something to eat and reheat for a few days. With all that said, it’s delicious!
I make this. Super easy! I just add onion & garlic. Really good!
If you’re feeling very fancy, throw in a diced onion and some garlic when browning the meat, and add some red pepper flakes and some fennel seeds to crank up the hot sausage flavor. My son’s favorite dinner, and so easy!!
this is honestly one of the better food wishes videos (theyre all gold though) for showing a basic easy one pot pasta formula – i can speak from personal experience that this basic technique works across the board, the version i do regularly has farfalle, 2 lbs of chicken breast, and a jar of alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. this is an amazing launching pad for whatever you personally like
I like to add a nice drizzle of olive oil.
chicken broth and sausage …bad combination ….i will use beef broth ….
Uhm…. Where the cayenne?! 😳
What if you added frozen peas? Anyone try that
I found this recipe bland. Any suggestions?
This looks delicious. I have all the ingredients now… except for the recotta and orzo. But I do have some pearl couscous. So since I'm the Bozo of my orzo, I'll go for it. Thanks!
I added some diced onions and garlic in the beginning before adding the sausage. Then I launched it into another stratosphere at the end by adding a whole block of garlic and chive Boursin cheese instead of the Parmesan. 🤘🏼
cylinder pots you use flat utensils woks use round spoons or spatulas. It just makes sense.
Would I be able to make this in a wok??
WOULD EAT
Nice recipe. Although, your narration is so weird
I love your puns like it's my job
I made this with rice as opposed to rice shaped pasta, and it was very good. I also tossed in a handful of frozen peas about 5 minutes before the dish was finished to add a veg and some additional color to the dish. Enjoy!
I've made this a couple of times and added some variations. It is the bomb! My family loves it and my son ensures that there's no leftovers. I highly recommend this dish for a cold winter evening.
Some curly kale is feeling left out of the party right about now. 😉
These are the dishes that I love!
I made this and I think I found my new favourite for some meal prep! So delicious and easy to make, thank you Chef John!
Yum
"I know chives are technically not herbs, but technically who cares?" LOL, that's the type of energy I'm here for Chef John!
JOHN….! ROAST THE ORZO FIRST,,,. don't mean to yell buy trust me! Add the rest as you did but the roasted orzo is so much more buttery!
I'm with you on the thighs!! Never use chicken breast ! And always thank you chef John
Now that does look tasty!!!
Yeah I'm a one pot type of guy 👍
