One Pot Pasta Bolognese



One Pot Pasta Bolognese is the quick version of Spaghetti Bolognese using two nifty shortcuts: cooking spaghetti IN the meat sauce, plus an instant thick, rich sauce using tomato passata / tomato puree instead of the usual crushed tomatoes.

You didn’t really think I’d use bottled pasta sauce, did you?? Forget that! We’re making from scratch!

    ▢ 1 tbsp olive oil
    ▢ 2 garlic cloves , minced
    ▢ 1 onion , finely chopped
    ▢ 500g / 1 lb beef mince (ground beef) , I use lean

    ▢ 350g / 12 oz spaghetti , uncooked (other pasta – Note 4)

  2. Wow, I so love watching your vids – you make it look so easy. Already knew the trick about flushing out sauce bottles with stock/water to stop wastage but cooking the pasta in the same pot – now that is a stroke of genius [and it saves on washing up!]. Gonna try this.

  4. I’m not a fan of the original bolognese sauce with milk and wine, I’ve always wanted a recipe with just meat, tomato sauce, and spices, thanks for sharing yours with me! I’ve made many of your recipes before and liked them all, so I’m sure this one will be a hit. This is what we’re having for dinner tonight for sure!
