Honestly, even the BelGioioso is way better fresh grated than anything in a can. For everyday cooking both the Sartori (pricier) and BelGioioso (cheaper) are both fine. Getting really tired of all the Parmigiano Reggiano snobbery on cooking shows.
Stop eating and listen! Damn!
bruh he says parmezan and parmijano 🤦♂️
This test made me chuckle because I buy the Bel Giosso and I don’t think it’s horrible haha. Now that I know it ranked worst I’ll be interested in seeing how much better some of the other options taste.
good gouge. gonna go with SarVecchio
If anyone's reading this, highly recommend Ethan Chlebowski's recent video on parm!!
I love yall 💓 Thank you for the information I often wondered about those shrink wrapped in grocery stores and wouldn't buy them now I know!
Belgioioso do now make a readily available 'Extra-Aged' parmesan. the appearance, flavor, and texture of it is much closer to authentic parmesan than their normal version. while i didn't do a side by side comparison with boars head, i can definitely say the belgioioso extra aged parm was incredibly delicious (nutty, creamy, slight funk) when making italian style fettucini alfredo, where 90% of the flavor of the dish depends on the quality of the parmesan.
the reason American parmesan style cheese is saltier has nothing to do with being bland the reason is the trukle of cheese is much smaller in American style than Regianno thus the brine solution penetrates more and deeper .. American parmesan is its own thing and great!
never liked regianno hate the crunch and they all have an off-putting smell .. just eat what your taste buds like screw what anyone else likes or says .
Boar's Head 🐗 deli is best but the problem I live in area that people don't want to buy the brand cause of the price. Haven't had the roast beef and cheese from them in a while
All I know is if you go to an.authentic Italian market and ask for Italian table cheese you will get what my Nonni had on the table every day and it was phenomenal.
Couldn't counterfeiters just fake the stenciling?
Welp that last one is the only non-powdered parm offered at my local store 🤦♂️
I also thought it wasn't anything special
Wow.
I only had the real stuff for the first time a couple years ago. It's so good. I usually get Boar's Head.
She should not be near any food during the interviews.
Love Jack always learn so much
Another way to tell is the NAME! "Parmesan" is NOT Parmigiano Reggiano cheese! I am surprised they didn't mention this in this video.
Idiots. Both Sartori and Belgioioso are amazing. You’re judging prepacked cheeses get a bulk wheel of each and redo this.
that cow kept playing on my nerves eating cheese while the guy is taking
The real concern is why do all the American made products suck so bad?
How about ATK/CC putting together a list of winning products for us?
I would never buy an American cheese do to what the cows are fed.
Yea, I am Italian and buy it in the shaker, whatever.
I've used both the Sarvecchio and the Boar's Head. It's no contest. The latter has real crunch.
I love good cheese. I truly feel sorry for lactose intolerant individuals.
I just bought a parmessan cheese thinkin it would elevate my dishes, when they said "some brands are just moist, milky, salty, and bland" I was like dont be BelGioioso, dont be! ohhh crap!!
After watching quite a few of these taste tests, I am finding some of them suspect. (The rent in the expensive Boston district where they are located is high, real high. And 15,000 sq ft!)
As said in Indiana Jones “you chose wisely,” and thankfully I did too, and can’t stop grating this on everything lately!
Imported Winner: Boar's head, $20/lb
Domestic Winner: Sarvecchio, $18/lb
Don't buy Bel Gioso's.
She prefers the American copy of the Parmigiano… Something we call "c'hai rcvlo ar posto der palato" daltronde basta vedere la stazza… Anche i muli fanno gli intenditori…
PARMIGIANO REGGIANO IS SOMETHING Nobody can copy because of the milk and the lands where cows feed on and the weather of course… 100% proud of our lovely italian products ❤
Please review more choices.
At whole foods you can get Parmesan up to 48 months aged. That's where I go but I'm not a big Parmigiano-Reggiano fan and I lived in Italy! Most Italians use granapadano at home and pecorino as well. Much of the parmigiano reggiano made in Italy is exported. I like dry and crunchy.
She's got that kind of a haircut that all her friends and family say looks "cute" on her. Her friends and family are lying. She doesn't have the face to carry that kind of cut. Her slightly longer shoulder length matched the shape of her face better.
Why not just ask Julia which she prefers rather than telling her what
characteristics she should seek and prefer .
Sartori is good. Sargento cheese is nasty. When you buy any of their shredded in the bags it's always wet and their cheese molds fast.
They didn't test the grated Kraft Parmesan cheese with the shaker top. I'm perplexed.
Trader Joe’s? How about their Parmesan
Yay, you picked cheese from the dairy state! 🐄🐮🍻👏
Very pleased to check the brand in my fridge…Boarshead.
