Make your life easier by whipping up some char siu, or Chinese BBQ roast pork belly, using this amazing store-bought char siu sauce by Lee Kum Kee AND your Oven!!
** Be sure to adjust cooking time based on the size and thickness of your pork belly.

WRITTEN RECIPE:
➜ INGREDIENTS:
FOR MARINATING
– pork belly slices
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 tsp sugar
– sprinkle white pepper
– 3 tsp hoisin sauce
– 3 tsp Lee Kum kee char siu sauce
– 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
– 1 Tbsp mushroom dark soy sauce
– 2 Tbsp light soy sauce
– 1 Tbsp Chinese rice wine
– 1 tsp Chinese five-spice
FOR Glazing
– 1 tsp Lee Kum Kee char siu sauce
– 1 tsp hoisin sauce
– a drizzle of soy sauce
– a drizzle of honey
– 1 tsp oyster sauce

➜ INSTRUCTIONS
1) Clean and drain the excess water off the pork belly
2) Add the listed ingredients and massage into pork belly
3) let marinate for 2 hours or overnight
4) Place the marinated pork belly on the oven for 40-50 minutes depending on your pork belly portion and size
5) oven roast at 230 degrees Celcius but keep watch or else it will burn
6) In the last 5min glazed the pork belly slices
7) Remove char siu from the oven immediately and allow to rest for a few minutes, cut into slices then it’s ready to serve over white rice. Enjoy!
