  1. Are you familiar with Italian cooking? They will tell you the only dairy in carbonara is a shredded hard cheese from their region, similar to parmesan, or parmigiano reggiano.
The creaminess is from eggs. Refer to the video on yellowsaffron youtube channel.

  2. Hey..this looks really yummy…its not carbonara. tho…cuz..trust..I know my carbonara….its more like a creamy Philly cheesy dish…I would sub the bacon with pancetta…and use pecorino cheese..I would low cal it down..tho…use..lowfat cream cheese..and skim milk….still you can make this work..its easy..so thats always a Plus+ with me.

  3. @mrpv IF you were familiar with the most basic Italian, you would know that "carbonara" means "creamy bacon sauce." So, yes, by definition, this would fit, even if it's not what you're most familiar with. Do you expect them to call it "Cream Cheesy Bacon Pea Sauce?" That's a little too long, don't you think? There are reasons why we give short names to things.

  4. This is an add for phili cheese but if anyone likes it, well so be it. The only thing is that with all the cheese, milk and bacon there is lots of fat and calories. And this is not adding the pasta witch is just lots of starch and not very nutritious.
Put everything together and there is not to much nutrition going on except for the frozen peas, although it probably tastes good.
