#Pork boneless shoulder 3.59 pounds Braise pork on all sides in skillet.
Lay sliced onion on bottom of slow cooker. Add braised pork. Then layer in other ingredients.
#Sauerkraut drained 2 pounds
Onion 1 sliced
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Apple sauce unsweetened 1/2 cup
Salt 1 tsp, pepper 1 tsp, dried thyme leaves 1 tsp.
If you are going to let this cook while you are at work, you can add 1 cup water if you think the sauerkraut and pork might dry out.
Slow cooker. 1 hour on high and 6 more hours on low. Or 8-9 hours on low.
Make mashed potatoes and bake a pan of cornbread for a perfect, traditional New Years Day meal!
