Pork Char Siu Recipe (Chinese-Style Slow-Roasted Marinated Pork) | Cooking with Dog



We are making Char Siu, Chinese-style roasted pork. Braised pork is also tender and delicious, but this time we will slowly bake the thick piece of marinated meat in the oven. It’s juicy, tender, aromatic and delicious.

How to Make Pork Char Siu

(serves 3) Cook Time: 60 minutes
* Time for marinating and cooling the meat is not included in cook time.

430 g Pork Shoulder Roast

[Marinade]
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce, the amount of salt varies depending on the product.
3 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Sake
1/2 tbsp Sesame Oil
3 slices Ginger Root
1 Garlic Clove, crushed
10 cm Long Green Onions (Naganegi), green part

[Other Ingredients]
Baby Salad Greens
Parsley Leaves
Radishes
2-3 Boiled Eggs

  2. I really want to thank Chef and Francis and the whole team so much.

    Because I don’t properly have parents and other family, it can be difficult to manage my stress sometimes, and also meeting my responsibilities can be a little more (I think,) difficult, too. Also, I have an empty space where someone will often be there in a person’s life to teach you good ways to prepare food and take care of yourself and your family. Also, since they are not there, they are not cheering for me or encouraging me.

    So, because Chef and everyone have been willing to make these videos, I have been able to learn many things and spend a Warm, Friendly Time here.

  3. I have been watching this since around 2011 until Francis left us 🙁 it broke my heart. I missed this!!!! Some changed like tge talking dog on apron. So cute.
