  1. I know this is late but my brother… grains are seeds, or at least seed embryos. Quinoa is not a grass like rice and wheat which are also seed embryos. Not sure why people are making this weird point.

  2. thank you Food Wishes. I made this a while back and here we go again! I'm going to start making it again ! I need to cut down on my dairy and this looks like a good meal replacement for my work week! Fast, and so delicious!

  3. I tried quinoa for the first time about 5 months ago and it gave me a miserable stomach ache! Beware: it is NON-DIGESTIBLE. I paid $12 for a 1 pound bag organic and for the price it did not taste that good either. Interesting texture but meh…I will stick with Polenta and Brown Rice.

  4. Hi Chef John – I've tried this recipe multiple times and really loved it! Just wondering if next time, I can batch cook it for the week and store it in the freezer. Is this pork-fried quinoa freezer friendly? Thanks for your advice 🙂

  6. Quinoa is a great superfood, full of protein and other nutrients, but by itself, it tastes like cardboard!  Thanks for posting this, I'm sure it's great!  I'll definitely try this recipe!

  7. FOOD WISHES/CHEF JOHN– Could you, oh, would you consider making a Polynesian pork-fried rice a' la New England/Boston-style? (Chinese/Polynesian/Asian restaurant foods in the American North East vastly depart from the Asian restaurant foods found in other regions of the U.S. Why?) Since relocating to the South, I've not had a decent bowl of fried rice. I would pay millions for that recipe!
