Pork Monggo

Pork Monggo is a stewed mung bean dish with pork and lots of healthy vegetables. Malunggay leaves and spinach were used in this recipe, but more greeen leafy vegetables can be added according to your preference. My suggestion is to also add alugbati (malabar nightshade) and dahon ng ampalaya (bitter gourd leaves), if available.

This is a simple yet delicious Filipino dish that can be prepared for ether lunch or dinner. It is best enjoyed with white rice.

  2. two questions, what can i substitute for malunggay leaves, and what brand of fish sauce can i buy that doesn't taste strong and over powering. the last brand of fish sauce i bought smelled like rotten seafood-i purchased it at the local popular asian store in our area, but i have no idea which one to try now since most of them are very strong-what brand would be easy on an american pallete.. thanks. you're videos have been on here forever and i really appreciate them 😉
