PORK PATA ESTOFADO l Quick and Easy Pork Pata Estofado l Paraan sa Pagluto ng Pork Pata Estofado l Best Pork Pata Estofado
Ingredients :
1 kilo pork pata (pork hocks ), cut into serving pieces
1 plantain banana ( or 2-3 pcs saba)
Dried banana blossom
2-3 pcs bay leaves
1 head of garlic, minced
1 pc onion, sliced
1 teaspoon peppercorns
3 tablespoon brown sugar
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup vinegar
1 bouillon cube, pork
Cooking oil for frying banana and pork meat
1 cup water
Instructions :
(1) Dissolve the bouillon cube in the cup of water ..
(2) Then add the following ingredients:
i. Onion
ii. Garlic
iii. Laurel (bay) leaves
iv. Banana blossoms
v. Soy sauce
vi. Vinegar
vii. Brown sugar
viii. Pepper corn
(3) Set Aside
(4) Heat oil in a pan
(5) Fry the banana. Set Aside
(6) Fry the pork pata (hocks) until golden brown.
(7) Saute onion and garlic.
(8) Add the meat. Stir for 5 minutes
(9) Add the mixture. Cover. Bring to a boil for 45-50 minutes until the meat is tender (depending on the quality of your meat.
*** if you are using pressure cooker it will save you at least 20-25 minutes to cook the meat
(10) Add the bananas
(11) Simmer for 5 more minutes.
(12) Add salt and pepper to taste
(13) Pork Pata Estofado is now ready to be served
