INGREDIENTS
2 lbs Russet potatoes (sliced and par-boiled)
8 oz cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 Tbsp butter (for baking dish)
9 x 13 baking dish
* Beef Mixture*
1 lbs lean ground beef
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1 small onion
1/2 small bell pepper (optional)
3 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp dried chives
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
1/2 tsp granulated onion powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
5 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups low sodium beef broth
1 tsp Kitchen Bouquet (optional)
BECHAMEL SAUCE
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
5 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
pinch of salt
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

Good photography but there should be short titles describing what is being done and added during the video.
I found a quick trick to getting your ground beef lump free and that’s using a whisk using it the same way as using a wooden spoon to break it up, but I find it works better

I adore potatoes but can't eat cooked FRESH potatoes puts my blood sugar out of wack…..but…I can eat fries & instant potatoes (don't like tater tots) so can I make this same recipe using fries?? Or instant potatoes???
Do you just use 5T of flour in the sauce, not the beef mixture?
Got this in the oven right now! At 375 for 50 mins. When I tasted the ground beef after cooking it, I know it was going to be good! Will update on the results!
Mrs. Cook, you may want to use corn starch to avoid lumps. It makes it silky. What time is dinner served?
I cooked this but I was very greasy, is there anything you can suggest to help with this. I think I used Medium ground beef.
