  1. I have the larger master kettle version and it works pretty well most of the time, except for a few things: 1. The dome lid doesn’t quite fit the bowl right, so you’ll need to adjust it a bit. 2. The hubcaps don’t attach to the wheels properly, and if they do, they’ll come off right away. It seems like the axle is a bit too long for the hubcaps to snap in. 3. Cleaning the table top is a real challenge if you spill anything on it. 4. The “Easy Spin Grill Grate” isn’t exactly easy to use. It’s just like any other grill I’ve tried. 5. The spring on the dome lid vent is way too weak to keep it in the position you set it to. If you lift the lid off and put it back on the position of the vent changes. 6. The ash catcher is a bit on the wimpy side.

  2. For me, the ash sweep system leaks air. Because of that, I am not able to maintain temps between 250-275 while I smoke. And all my briquettes burn off completely each time. Not economical. That is a big con for a newbie like me.

  3. I struggled all night trying to decide. Weber? THE standard of and inventor of kettles. or SNS which has improved the game. This video really pushed me over the line. One thing you didn't mention was the difference in warranty. That matter not to me because who uses a warranty on a bullet proof product? The smoke hole and the probe access along with 4 legs and included slow and seer (I am looking at the more expensive model, pretty much sold me. I realize the Weber is made to have baskets on each side, and the vent and thermometer in the middle ( a fact rarely ever mentioned) and that SNS has changed the game. But I think SNS changed it for the better because everyone and I mean everyone is using the Slow and Seer. Today on Amazon the price came down from 99 to 84 dollars by the way. In any case, The big players such as youself have touted the benefits of the SNS over the Weber while managing not to bash a beloved brand. Very delicate. By the time I get the Weber Master Touch and a slow and seer and side table attachment I am spending more. Also, I don't like that circle in the middle that falls out when you try to hand the grate. I do have ONE QUESTION. Can you hang the SNS grate on the side of the kettle like you can on the weber? I am pulling the trigger in about one minute on the SNS and thank you for providing a great review. Online, there are numberous sites that have A.I. articles that are totally incaccurate. So, thank you for your video and all yoru great videos.

  4. I literally just ordered this kettle grill a few hours ago and I'm so glad that I intuitively knew this had better features compared to the Weber Kettle Grill such as the placement of the temperature gauge and damper close to each other where the heat would be exiting. With the Weber, I had the shelf and the SNS charcoal divider because it made sense and then somehow I came across this grill after I added it to my cart. I read a few reviews and looked at the photos. Of course, my phone knows everything I do so here is your video in my feed. Thank you for such a succinct yet informative video. I sincerely appreciate it!

  5. How has the ceramic coating held up? I'm very disappointed with my Weber kettle grill. My parents have a 1988 ish model that has real heft and no rust. My Weber kettle that I bought in 2021 had the lid replaced after 6 months due to the coating failing. The bowl has large sections now where the coating has fallen off and is rusting.

  6. We all love our Weber kettles & end up making modifications like adding a probe port hole ( or notching the kettle). adding a hole if we plan on adding Fan Control.

Weber should have added a Temp probe port. On Weber Summit Kamado, they did add a factory hole for temp control fan. its got a removable plug to add a fan like the ThermoWorks Billows.

  7. i never give up my weber kettle. being guy who has been cooking on a kettle for over 45 years. way back before there was temp gauges on the lids. which by the way are never very accurate after a few months any ways. i very seldom have to adjust my vents. the 4 legs are nice thou.

  8. I wonder what the build quality is like over time. I have had my weber kettle for 20 years. It stays out side in the winter and summer. The only think I have needed to replace was the bottom vent assembly for $ 28.00. The paint, the metal, and everything is almost like when it was new. I'm thinking that that the SnS folding tray and perhaps other parts may rust when left outside all those years, Your thoughts?

  9. My major Con that will prevent me from buying the SNS grill is that they made the SNS for the Weber kettle, but when they decided to make their own grill my other Weber kettle accessories are not compatible with it.

  10. Why's does it have visible rust / rust bubbles showing after only 7 months in a warm time? Also the hole for thermometers shouldnt be rusting in 7 months.

My 5 year old wsm with a silicon thermometer hole that spends every day out side in MN only has rust on the coal grate as expected.

Not hating on the sns. 4 legs and a side table is something weber should have done 30years ago. Also a silicon thermometer hole is such low hanging fruit, I can't believe weber corporate incompetence is so thick they haven't added one to their higher models.

  11. After owning this grill for two years, there's a catch with all the modifications with this SNS grill. While I think the modifications are a step above a weber, the weber quality is far superior. Sometimes the SNS grill can feel flimsy, and it doesn't balance as well as a weber kettle.

  12. Imagine you have a Weber kettle that's getting long in the tooth and you have an SnS thingie. You watch this video and say, "Darn, I'm getting a new kettle." Now imagine that you had to buy the new kettle with the SnS thingie. You'd have two thingies and would be out the extra money. Your con would really be a con for that guy.
