Pulled Beef Puff Patties Ramadan Recipe

This Slow Cooker Shredded Beef patties makes the juiciest fall-apart-tender pulled beef. These crispy and flakey patties filled with juicy shredded beef with cheese will leave your family wanting more!

INGREDIENTS;

Beef: 1 kg (boneless)
Onion: 1 medium
Garlic: 3-4 cloves
Chillies: 2
Tomato puree: 2 tbsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Cumin powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Garam masala: 1 tsp
Cayenne pepper: 1 tbsp
Thyme: few fresh sprigs
Puff pastry sheets: 3
Egg: 2
Mozzarella cheese: as required
Sesame seeds; black and white (optional)

Method;

In an oven safe pot add boneless beef steaks, season with salt, cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub it all over.
Add garlic cloves, chillies, onions and sprigs of thyme.
Pour water , Cover and let it slowly cook in the oven for a couple of hours until the meat is falling apart.
Remove from oven and let it rest 15 minutes before opening the lid.
Remove sprigs and chillies.
Shred with fork and add tomato purée.
Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until all water dries up .
Transfer to the bowl and let it cool completely.
Take puff pastry sheets and cut in squares.
Place one piece of pastry , add filling, brush with beaten egg on sides , add mozzarella cheese, place another square of puff pastry on top and seal the edges with a fork.
Make it slits on top (this will help to puff and cheese will not ooze out) , brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds (optional).
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 30-35 minutes.
Tip: Don’t open the oven door until top is golden brown. Otherwise it will not puff nicely.
Take out from oven and serve immediately.
